Bringing justice to the fatherless

About

The vision that God laid on our hearts is to build an orphanage in Guadalupe Mexico, which will be the largest orphanage in all of Latin America. Although there is a lot of work that needs to be completed, God has blessed this project. The Biblical mandate to take care of the widows and orphans is in the process of being fulfilled in the orphanage that is being built in Guadalupe, MX. This orphanage will house over 200 children, and the government promised to fill it within 24 hours of when its doors open with a small percentage of the over 7000 children that are living on the street in this area alone. This orphanage is being built by churches in Mexico, Indonesia, America, Canada, Scotland, Holland, France, Peru, Japan, Germany, the Dominican Republic, and all over the world. May God’s name be praised. However, there is a lot of work that still needs to be done & we need your help.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT TAPESTRIES OF LIFE

“I started coming to tapestries with my 12 year old daughter. The trip made such an impact on her that now she is staffing TLM with her Husband! And my other 15 year old daughter was impacted and now wants to do some form of mission work when she gets older. Tapestries can change your whole family for the better!”

— JAN SMALLIDGE, WORK GROUP PARTICIPANT

“We love TLM! I started going in the spring of 2006. By spring 2009 I had my husband and all three of our children (at that time ages 12, 8 and 6) going with me and we have gone at least one time a year almost every year since then. It is a place we can all come together to serve the people that we have come to love so very much! We love to be there and watch miracles happen and hear the stories of other miracles that have happened since we were there last. God is so good! We can hardly wait to see this extravagant home filled with beautiful children running through the halls that so many people from all over the world have come together to build for THEM! - Grayling, Michigan”

“For a long time a friend of mine had been telling me about Tapestries of Life Ministries.  She continually invited me to go on a missions trip, and like every good Christian, I said, "I will pray about it." But what I really meant was , "Nah, not me. I'm too old, too fat, and just don't feel called..."  Then I heard a quiet voice say, "those are all just excuses, Patty" I knew right there and then I had to go. I found out a friend on mine was going too so we decided to drive together. However when December came, I knew something wasn't right in me. It was a week before I was going to leave for the Missions trip to and I got my call from the doctor. “You have cancer in the uterus.” My response was, "Can I still go to Mexico?" The doctor said "Let me call you back."  She called me back and said It would be good to go before I wasn’t able to.     So off we went, in my car, on January 1st! That First Sunday, when we got there, we went to a little church in Mexico. The people's worship and faith touched me deeply. And our director, Steve Brewer, asked the pastor if he and the church would pray for me. They did, and wow. I got Holy Spirit zapped! Rosa, a dear sister from the church, kept telling Diane, "don't worry your pastor Is healed!" And Rosa was healed of cancer that day too. When we left I wasn’t sluggish or achy feeling. Something happened and in my heart, I knew it was something wonderful.     After the trip I returned home, to a sudden hospital visit. No cancer was found! Just “a tiny like skin tag” that already had released itself from my body. Lymph nodes clear, no further treatments, nothing. Cancer free! How can this be? Jesus. I know God has called me to help the children of Mexico and will be going back down to Tapestries of Life Ministries for my 5th year in January. All the praise to our GOD!!”
